Education: Donna Murray Field Trip Program

Ballona Wetlands Land Trust organizes field trips for Title 1 schools to different coastal locations such as the Ballona Wetlands Ecological Reserve, Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, or Madrona Marsh, in order to learn about southern California coastal ecosystems.

The Ballona Wetlands Land Trust wants to help encourage future generations to explore environmental issues in a fun and engaging way, in doing so, promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The curriculum is directed toward 3rd and 4th graders, but it is possible to modify the lessons to 2nd or 5th graders.

50 students per field trip day (additional days can be booked).

Field trips are all expenses paid, this includes the cost of entry and transportation (buses).

Photos of previous field trips can be viewed on our Facebook and/or Instagram
