Education: Nature Education Program (At School, Title 1 Schools)

This is a new program that is expected to start next fall.

Our nature education curriculum for elementary school students will highlight the importance of healthy fish populations to humans and other wildlife, as well as discuss general conservation and ecological balance in an urban environment. Implementing this curriculum at each school which will include, when feasible, both indoor and outdoor learning experiences.

Today’s elementary students will be tomorrow’s decision-makers and
stewards of our fisheries and other natural resources. By educating them about current natural resources and engaging them at their schools and nearby open spaces, we can help them to think differently about the conservation of these critical resources.
